The open work style of the watch is a good intersection between modern and classic. Branding on the dial has Audemars Piguet and Maserati sharing the same size, which is interesting. Audemars Piguet is shorted to just "AP" and you have the Masterati Trident logo. The chronograph has a large central seconds hand with an easy to use tachymeter. The chronograph is also an monopusher chronograph meaning it is operated via a single button. Although the face of the watch is oblong, the dial itself is actually perfectly round. The Audemars Piguet Millenary MC12 Tourbillon Chronograph originally was released in about 2006 in a limited edition of just 150 pieces. The movement utilizes carbon which is part of Audemars Piguet's talents many other watch makers can't seem to replicate too well. I personally think that carbon is a bit gimmicky, but it is apparently very difficult to work in small sizes. The blued metal in the movement to match the blue of the car is a nice touch. The case of the Millenary is made of 950 platinum which makes it hefty and expensive. If you ever hear that a super car uses platinum, walk the other direction, it is a damn heavy material the opposite of "weight saving." Last of all you get a crocodile leather strap. Price? About 0,000. Lower than the original retail price though.

Using what can only be described as perceptive analysis, the always thoughtful Angular Momentum has incorporated Il Moretto into their newest timepiece. The case itself is about 40mm wide with in 18k gold and pave set — which means the diamonds are placed on the bezel, while the dial is black enamel. Il Moretto himself is highly decorated as is the tradition. In addition to being in gold with enamel, gilding includes diamonds, sapphires, pearls, and gold leaf. The attached alligator strap completes the watch for a nice display. Moretti watches are not for everyone of course, but for those who enjoy the history and concept of Il Moretto will be taken but the totally unique timepiece offering. From a practical standpoint, you can still enjoy a view of the time from the hour and minute disc window — that is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. Further, the figurine on the watch face should not be so high as to make the watch difficult to wear. Another very interesting piece from Swiss Angular Momentum.
For such a classy watch, though, I would have expected greater options for the bracelet for the 2009 release. While I understand that a rubber strap can be deemed the most versatile, it is definitely not always the most appropriate. A watch like this, I would want to wear day and night. And for serious events, a rubber strap does not fit. I trust that it is top-notch, high-quality rubber - so good thing that a leather strap is available as an option.
